The Kiss of the Law

In Deuteronomy 8:3, we see the importance of living not only on physical food but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. This concept is known among rabbis and scholars as “The Kiss of the Torah” or “The Kiss of the Law.” This metaphor signifies the intimacy and deep connection we must have with the Word of God.

It is through this "kiss" that we are cleansed and transformed by divine revelation. The Word of God is the foundation of our faith and the starting point for a life that pleases the Lord.

We come to an important conclusion: our walk with God must begin and be sustained by this touch of the Word. We cannot be merely a generation of activists, focused on deeds, but we must be those who seek the revelation of God. Prophetic and apostolic visions are important, but they do not replace the central role of the Word in our lives.

The revelation of who God is takes us to a deeper level of intimacy with Christ. This is the problem of the activist bride: often, she is content with the touch of blessings, but it is the revelation that truly leads us to grow and mature spiritually. We are not rejecting God’s blessings, for they are important, but we need to understand that there is something far more powerful: God Himself, who reveals Himself through His Word.

The Passionate Groom

In the book of Song of Solomon, the bride symbolizes the Church, which longs for the transformative touch of God's Word. This touch, like a divine kiss, purifies and reveals, establishing the foundation of our faith. Just as the bride, we are called to seek this intimacy, allowing the Word to transform us and prepare us for a life that pleases the Lord. Let yourself be touched by divine revelation.
