Unstoppable Faith
While Jesus and His disciples were experiencing a tremendous outpouring of God’s miraculous power, the opposition never ceased. Jesus’ friend and the forerunner of His ministry, John the Baptist was beheaded.
Though Jesus grieved, He couldn’t help but continue ministering to the crowds. No matter where He went, people flocked to Him like sheep without a shepherd. His heart of love and compassion compelled Him to teach, to feed, to heal and deliver. Nothing could stop Him. And after being alone with His father from whom He drew His faith and power, Jesus demonstrated how even the laws of nature were subject to His authority.
Still, after all the miraculous signs, the apostles didn’t understand and lacked the faith to believe. Jesus said their hearts were too hard.
