Clean Hands.
”He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.“ Psalm 24:4 KJV
Keep your hands clean. Keep your life pure. What you choose to do in the dark will come to light. What you do behind closed doors will soon surface. Live a pure life. Live a private clean life. Live a pure life behind the scenes.
The Amplified Version expounds upon Psalm 24:4 AMPC in the following manner, “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully.“ Don’t give in to falsehood or that which is false. Choose to live by faith and let Christ lead your life.
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Clean” used in Psalm 24:4 KJV is, ‘nāqî’ (H5355) which means, “clean, free from, exempt, clear, innocent.” Stay clear from evil. May your heart be free from the ways of the wicked. Steer clear of the ungodly. Steer your heart toward Christ.
The New Living Translation puts it this way, ”Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies.“ Psalms 24:3-4 NLT. Ascension, advancement, and promotion—comes from the Lord. Don’t worship success—don’t make expansion your lord.
”For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.“ Psalm 75:6-7 KJV. God sets up kings. He promotes one and sits another down. Choose to let God increase the work of your hands. Let God lead you. Let God guide you.
”Who can climb Mount God? Who can scale the holy north-face? Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; Men who won’t cheat, women who won’t seduce.“ Psalms 24:3-4 MSG.
