Confess to One Another

Daily Thought:

In James 5, James, the half-brother of Jesus, wisely instructs his readers to confess their sins to God and each other. As promised in God’s word, when we confess such things to trusted people, the healing power of God becomes evident as this inspires righteous prayers that reveal the will of God. In this way, confession is meant to be done individually and with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

James 5:16, ESV

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Prayer Point:

Reflect upon the aspects of your life you confessed to the Lord in yesterday’s prayer. Consider taking one or more of these things to a trusted friend or family member. Approach God together in prayer for healing and repentance.
