Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 12

22 天中的第 22 天

Today’s Chapter is Revelation 22, and the key Scripture is:

Rev 22:1-2 CSB" "Then he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb (2) down the middle of the city’s main street. The tree of life was on each side of the river, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations,"

In this last chapter of Revelation, we see how Christ is established as the Alpha and Omega of everything, just as in the First Chapter of Revelation.

This river of life represents the life that we find in Christ, as explained in John 7:37-39 and John 4:10-14. As we live according to the life that we find in Christ, representing the Kingdom of the King on this earth, nations will be healed and restored by this life in Christ.

All of this will be a realisation as we discover our true identity in Christ, and we see the revealing of the sons and daughters of God as explained in Romans 8:19: “For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed.”

As ambassadors of Christ’s Kingdom, we are called to reveal Him and to make Him known for now and forever.

How has this devotion changed your view of the future?

How are you progressively living as a son or daughter of the King?
