Back to the Garden: A 10-Day Devotional預覽
Enjoy Your Harvest
We have finally made it to Day 10 of this devotional and I am so happy that you have dedicated these last 10 days to growing in your faith journey, you ought to be super proud of yourself! This last step in gardening is one of my favorites, harvesting! This is the time gardeners and farmers are jumping for joy as well.
The seed Paul mentions in this scripture is the Good News and this was a seed Paul dedicated his life to planting in people’s hearts. Apollos was a man who helped nurture those who received the Good News by supporting them in their faith journey.
Although Paul and Apollos made amazing contributions to people's lives, Paul makes it clear that the most important part of it all is that God made the seeds grow in these individuals' lives.
So, know your work did not go in vain during this journey of gardening because God rewards the hard work, but we must remember that we are gardeners for God. Our lives are God’s garden beds and we are to steward over them so that God will continue to bring a harvest.
The most important principle I want to stress to you today is that although we did the labor of planting seeds, nurturing gardens, and dealing with pest control, the growth we see in our gardens and the harvest that comes is from God alone.
I encourage you to continue working at your garden and taking the necessary steps to maintain it. Have faith that God will produce a harvest that will not only benefit you, but generations to come.
Reflect
- What are some things in your life that you have tried to grow on your own?
I encourage you to release those to God and allow Him to do what only He can do.
