STARTING OUT ON THE FATHER’S LOVE (3)

Pleasing the Father, not pursuing His love, is the main goal of Christianity and this should be your goal. The main objective of Christianity is how to give pleasure and joy to the Father. God is looking for sons and daughters who will do exactly what the obedience of Jesus did to His emotions. Can God love us without being pleased with us? Yes! He can love you without your participation. God is not pleased with a sinner, but He loves him all the same. Many times, God may not be pleased with Christians, but He loves us because He can't help Himself.

You cannot please the Father without your participation, but the Father can love you without your participation. The Father loves you irrespective of your response to Him. However, pleasing Him is a response from you after you have received His love, and He is waiting for that. We must, therefore, make decisions based on that going forward.

I am trusting God that this devotional is going to set you on a course that will drive you to set up your life to please the Father and become a son that gives pleasure and joy to the Father. Some employees seek to give joy to their bosses because they are looking for a promotion. Beyond that, however, I want you to set it as a goal to give pleasure to the heavenly Father. Can God say that you are His beloved son in whom He is well pleased? It is my prayer that you will be transformed by this truth in such a way that God will be able to say that about you.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, teach me how to become a son/daughter that gives pleasure and joy to the Father always, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
