Moses: The Lessons I Can Learn預覽
Change your direction!
It was unbelievable: I was sitting in the office of a famous record company, and after years of hard work, we were finally discussing the future of my musical career in the U.S. I had put all my energy and the money I had left into that flight to Nashville, and I was about to see my dream come true!
The record company executive suddenly looked at me and said, "What are we doing here, Déborah? You have such a clear mission for the German-speaking part of Europe. You belong there!" His words did not sadden or startle me at that moment because what he said felt right. It was true, and I knew that deep down inside.
At one point, though the Israelites were on the right path, God allowed a detour. He instructed Moses, "'Tell the Israelites to turn back...Pharaoh will think, "The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert."'" (Exodus 14:2-3, NIV) Why a detour? Because it was part of their journey—some detours are simply part of the plan so that we can witness God do the impossible.
I had already invested a lot into my dream: I had recorded songs and music videos, and I even had my first book translated. Everything was ready, but I was being sent home, back to Germany, where I couldn't do much with the English material I had prepared. What I see now, looking back, is that this was my detour to witness God do His work!
This detour for me was years ago, and just recently, I was asked if I could write the daily messages for you, the English-speaking A Miracle Every Day readers! Here I am today with you because of this God-planned "detour"—and everything is ready to go! I cried tears of joy when I realized God had been planning this all along.
Your detour is part of the journey. Get involved when God changes your direction unexpectedly, and trust that His plan is set in motion to do great things through YOU!
You are a miracle!

What does it take to experience miracles as Moses did? And, most importantly, what can we learn today from Moses visible trust in the invisible God?
