God’s Heart For The Poor預覽
Compassionate Justice
The king’s responsibility is to rule justly over his people—God’s people. That includes compassionate justice. He not only rules over the masses, but he rules over the individual. He is called to take pity on the weak and rescue them from violence. In a sense, the king is God’s shepherd who is called to lovingly care for his flock.
What a great picture of Jesus, who would come to earth to be our Shepherd. He had ultimate compassion on the poor and met their needs—physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Each life is precious to Him—so precious He laid down His life for us. He rescues us from the penalty of sin and provides the free gift of eternal life. John 10:14-15 says, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.” The shepherd cares for the sheep because he loves them.
God sees the individual person. Do you?
