Do All Good Things Come to an End?

Do all good things come to an end? Moses likely struggled to accept that a new season was coming, which would start a significant change for him. Our life situations frequently change as we accumulate experiences, monitor our health, and mature in faith. Our lives are meant to glorify God, and God's timing is perfect.

When we look at the transition from Moses to Joshua, we notice God's hand all over it. Initially, as Moses realized his run was coming to an end, he did not envy Joshua because God's purpose was the priority for Moses. When we prioritize God's purposes in our lives, it may be easier for us to accept the transitions in our lives.

Furthermore, Joshua wasn't just randomly selected or chosen according to his credentials or resume. God appointed Joshua, and the Spirit was with him. He had Godly conduct and the heart to serve the Lord. Many days and nights spent in God's presence at the tent of meeting strengthened Joshua's heart and prepared him for the leadership challenge that lay ahead.

Jesus has great love and compassion for you and desires to be your Lord and Savior. If He is, He will undoubtedly provide all your needs and include you in God's purposes no matter what transitions of life you are going through. Moses and Joshua had a good run that ended, but God sees no end to His ways and plans.

Question: Do you ever feel like God is done using you or perhaps feel like He's using others more than you? If so, how do you deal with this idea?

Prayer Focus: Ask the Lord to make Himself the priority in your life and help you embrace the idea as an act of worship.

Go Deeper: Everyone goes through life changes, whether moving from one location to another, from married to divorced, employed to retired, abled to disabled, or just one role to another.

Some of these transitions are hard to accept. However, we cannot afford to believe that God is done with us. Jesus is a Good Shepherd, and you can trust His loving leadership.
