Finding Joy In The Ordinary預覽
Joy is in God
On day two we briefly touched on joy in God. David found joy in the intimate relationship with his Creator in the midst of overwhelming opposition.
There is one place you will always find joy--in the presence of God. You might have a heavy heart and your pain might seem incurable, but under the shadow of His wings, you can find the one thing this world can never offer you in your suffering--joy.
If joy eludes you today, get away from the world and get into His presence. Turn on some worship music, read both of these small passages from the book of Psalms, and start pouring out your heart to Him. Share your deepest emotions but also spend time recounting all the blessings He has given you. Develop that attitude of thanksgiving necessary for joy to thrive in.
Remember in your times of suffering that joy can only be found in Him. Not in this world, in people, or in things, but in His presence. It’s the only way to have joy no matter the season.
