[Revelation] The Comeback: White Horse Return預覽
The Donkey and the White Horse
The Bible portrays a donkey carrying a humble Savior (Matthew 21) and a white horse carrying a conquering Lord (Revelation 19)! In both instances, the focus is certainly not on the carrier, but on the Rider. Jesus came the first time as a Servant Savior 2000 years ago. He will return a second time to conquer His enemies. Revelation 19 depicts a conquering Man riding a white horse and killing all His enemies with a sword that comes out of His mouth. Verse 13 tells us His name: “the Word of God.” In John 1:1, the apostle John calls Jesus “the Word.” He says, “The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” He adds that the Word caused everything to live. In verse 14, he says, “the Word became flesh.” John describes the Word, the Son of God, as “full of grace and truth.” According to John 14:6, Jesus is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” It is very important to understand that He not only speaks truth, but He Himself is the Truth.
The Rider on the white horse is called Faithful and True—worthy to be believed and worthy of our trust. How important it is to be able to trust someone who will always speak the truth! Jesus can not only speak the truth, but reveal it, even the truths hidden in human hearts.
The Messiah was foretold in more than 40 prophecies found in the Old Testament, and Jesus came to fulfill each and every one of them. He told His apostles that He will return a second time to fulfill more prophecies, like the one we find in Revelation 19. In that chapter, we see Him coming with the armies of heaven, with the name “King of Kings and Lord of Lords” written on His thigh.
Let us watch for Jesus’ return. Be vigilant, for the Lord Jesus is coming back. We do not know the time nor the hour, but we must watch and pray so that when He returns, He will not find us asleep.
