Grace Was There預覽
We must remember that Grace equals life and without Grace, we are destined for death– a life full of sin here on earth, and an eternity apart from God, in the life to come. That is why Grace is so important and representative of life. Without it, sin would forever reign in us and we would never be able to meet the demand fulfilled by Jesus at the cross.
Sin and death came into the world through one man in the Garden– Adam, because of his disobedience to the father in “eating the fruit of knowledge.” Bondage, hurt, separation from God, a fleshly nature, and selfish mindset all came about because of that decision. It makes perfect sense that the next and final “Adam,” Jesus, would be the one to restore life back to us. Just as death entered the world through one man, God used another man for life to enter through– his one and only Son. There is a divine and perfect symmetry here.
This brings us to the final exchange that took place at the cross– the greatest one of all. Jesus exchanged His fullness of LIFE, for every form of our DEATH, physical, eternal and more. Colossians 2:13 says, “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” We are born into death when we first arrive on this earth, but when we come to know Jesus, we are born again into His life. That is where the phrase “born again” comes from. Today, we receive the fullness, freedom, and power of the life Jesus exchanged for our death. We know His Grace Was There on that cross, is present with us today, and will forever be with us, until the day we come face to face with the father.
Declare these words with me: “Jesus, thank you for overcoming death for my sake on the cross. You exchanged your fullness of life for my wretched state of death, and you did so, so I could reign in life with you. I leave the old self behind me in this moment, every form of death– spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, eternal and more. You are my life and I am free to live, in Jesus name.”
