I Raised My Hand預覽
We did it! The last day! We have walked through what it means to be a believer of Jesus Christ, to read His word, pray, and be a part of His church. So now what? What do you do with all of this? First, you continue to learn, grow, and be a part of a community of believers, but now it’s also up to you to help others join you on this new adventure.
Let’s view it from a different angle. Ask yourself this question; “What if I had the cure for cancer?” It seems like a heavy question, but really think about it. “What if I had the knowledge to cure millions of people and save lives from being disrupted by this horrible disease? Would I keep it to myself?” Of course not.
Similarly, as Christians, we carry the hope of the world. We know a Savior who has the power to transform eternities in an instant. Why would we keep that to ourselves? We can’t; we have to share it. But how?
Tell your story. Tell your story to anyone who will listen. You understand how to share the gospel because you have lived it. You know what Jesus has done for humanity because He did it in you. You understand how Jesus can change a person from the inside out because He did it to and for you.
Matthew 28:18-20 is a very common passage among Christians. We refer to it as the Great Commission. This is where Jesus is about to ascend to heaven and He gives His disciples one last commandment. “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (v.19-20a)
Jesus made it very clear what was expected of them and of us today. We cannot keep this good news to ourselves! “Making disciples” is sharing the gospel and letting God do all the hard work. It is not our job to save the lost but to share the good news with those who are hurting and lost. God will do the rest.
However, something most people overlook is the last part of that verse. “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (v.20b) If there is one thing we should always remember, it is this: please know you are not in this alone. Pray and read your Bible everyday. Allow this to be a lifestyle transformation. Join a community of fellow believers who will walk with you on this new journey. Practice sharing the gospel in your everyday life with anyone and everyone who will listen. It may seem awkward at first, but with Jesus, all things are possible. You got this!
