Walk Through The Bible 365 - January預覽
Lot's Choice
When Abraham and Lot separated, Abraham gave Lot first choice as to which land he wanted to settle in. Lot chose the more prosperous Jordan valley - but this land also had the very sinful cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot chose the opportunity for increasing his wealth but along with that was the wickedness of the land. And what did this result in - Lot finally had to flee from this land with just the clothes on his back - he lost all his wealth. We as believers need to choose righteousness and not wealth tainted with sin.
Prayer: Lord God, we thank you that you give us the fruit of the land to enjoy. But Master, let us be careful that in our search for prosperity, we do not compromise and choose to do evil or even associate with evil. Let us not choose like Lot but keep clear of all things that contaminate us because of sin. In Jesus' name. Amen.
