Man’s Attempt at Divine Image
A world’s renowned piece of art, Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam is located in Rome on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. “The Creation of Adam is generally thought to depict the excerpt "God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him.” (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Have you considered what it would be like to use your unique abilities and gift to portray the divine creation of man? There are many analytical opinions to the meaning of Michelangelo’s painting, but one thing is most dominant: He was a genius at his work. How much more in holy awe and wonder can we say of our Creator God. We are His creation, made in His image! We don’t have to wonder to find meaning in His creation, His masterpiece: we are made in His image!
Prayer – Almighty God and Creator of all living, we praise You and glorify Your Holy Name. Thank you for creating us in Your image - perfect, beautiful, and holy. May we reflect Your glory and may our lives show the world the meaning You created us to be.
