YOU ARE ENOUGH預覽
You belong to the body of Christ. Just as your arm, or your eye belongs to you, you belong to the Church. This is something that we hear in liturgy all the time, and I wonder if we have lost something of the power of the image. It’s very apt. Eyes cannot do what hands can do, but they are no less valuable for it. And you need both to catch a ball!
So, what does this mean for you? It means that there is a place for you even when you can’t see where you fit. It means that in God’s sight, we are all equal and all necessary. All one in the Spirit makes a mockery of the divisions made by humans – sexism, racism, ableism (among other isms) have no place in the Kingdom of God.
Do you see yourself as necessary in your church?
Prayer: Dear God, we don’t always see your Kingdom the way you do. We don’t always recognise ourselves and our brothers and sisters as parts of the one body. Please give me a heart to pull together rather than apart. Amen.

It’s too easy to let these pull you down and suck the joy out of your day. But what does the Bible say about your value?
