DON’T LET YOUR SITUATION DETERMINE YOUR WORSHIP
Many times the situations we face come to steal our song, they want us to turn down the volume of our worship. But once again we see in Job the example of a man who did not allow his situation to limit his ability to worship.
What response flows from your heart and lips when you are facing an uncertain or painful situation? What are you allowing to steal your song?
Hard times are not the time to turn down the volume of our worship. Not all of us were called to be singers, but we were called to be worshippers, because as children of God, one of our primary purposes is to worship the One who created us.
I encourage you to fill your house of worship these days! With my family we usually take advantage of different moments of the day for this, we fill our house with music from different bands and churches from all over the world. I believe that the more we fill our hearts with words that remind us of who God is, and of His promises to us, the more likely it is that our response to difficulties will be worship.
And when that is our response, it takes our focus off the situation and puts it on the greatness of God, on His power and majesty.
What things are fighting today to capture the focus of your heart?
We see that Job, after hearing that he had lost his cattle and his children, entered into a moment of mourning and lamentation, but fell before God in a posture of worship.
May the volume of your worship be higher than the volume of your situation!
