Joshua - Discipline預覽

Joshua - Discipline

7 天中的第 6 天

What did Israel do when God freed them from Egypt? They worshiped:

"I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea. "The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will extol Him." – Exodus 15:1-2

Worship our natural response to freedom. We worship God with words and service. We present our bodies as a living sacrifice. This is our spiritual act of worship. We have the honor and privilege of worshiping the holy God by serving.

True worship leads to service.

We worship by only looking to the One worthy of worship. Israel learned this in the desert when God told them to look to a bronze serpent for salvation from the fiery serpents. Later, Israel worshiped that bronze serpent instead of God. We must always worship the Creator, not the creation.

The next time you are in a corporate worship setting, notice the different levels of worship. Why do some worship more than others? Jesus said: "He who has been forgiven much - loves much."

He who loves much - worships much.

Challenge:

  • Memorize Ephesians 3:20
  • Realize you have been forgiven much - more than much - you have been forgiven all.  Practice worshiping God with all you have.  Whatever you do in speech or deed – do it for the glory of God.

關於此計劃

Joshua - Discipline

Israel left Egypt as freed slaves, not warriors. God spent the next forty years refining them to become more than warriors. God's warrior has three disciplines: Bible Study, Prayer, and Worship. This in-depth stand-alone plan is also part 4 of a 10 part series.
