The book of Lamentations was written as a series of prayers representing the heart cry of God’s people during a really difficult time. This prayer reminds us that even in the saddest of times we too can bring to mind our God’s great love for us.
Every morning when you get up, ‘call to mind’ or remember that God loves you and is ready to meet with you in your darkest and most difficult times. Remember His faithfulness in all that has gone before and His goodness to His sons and daughters. Take heart in the waiting.
God is reminding you today that whatever you wake up to, you can ‘hope in Him’.

Yet what’s contained in this short word is a big deal. When life gets tough and we find ourselves losing our hope - God reminds us that we can put our hope in Him.
