For Those Who Are Thirsty 預覽
Filled to Overflowing
The water Jesus gives is like a spring bubbling up within us for eternal life. It never stops. It does not run dry. Living water flows like rivers within our hearts. And that flow cannot be contained! It spills over in our speech, and it spills over through song. Our hearts are so full that we look for ways to express our gratitude to God. We praise Jesus’ name to those around us.
All around us, people are thirsty. They want to see the spigot turned on. Their parched hearts want Living Water. And we can share It with them. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, their lives, like ours, are transformed. Where nothing grew and the land was scorched and cracked, God can make green shoots of new life appear. Where there were only weeds and husks and dry stalks, He can make flowers and ferns and forests grow. God transforms barren ground into gardens.
Before God created the first human being, streams watered the ground. When the Lord formed Adam and Eve, he placed them in a Garden surrounded by rivers. Many years later, the prophet Isaiah recalls the abundance of this first Garden when he talks about the King who will reign in righteousness. That King is Jesus. Isaiah says the righteous King will share His glory. Others will reign with Him. They will be like shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, shade in the sun, and streams in the desert. This is an amazing promise! All who Jesus invites to come to Him, no matter how thirsty and humble and powerless and ordinary they might be, will become rulers with Him, and thirst quenchers, and bringers of blessing.
Thank God for His wonderful plans for us. Thank Him for His mighty deeds and great promises. He satisfies all who are thirsty. He satisfies all who are hungry. Christ is our spiritual Food and our spiritual Drink. He meets all our needs. Thank God for His unfailing love!

關於此計劃
This plan is based on the invitation that Jesus issued in John 7:37–39. In seven meditations, you will reflect upon the thirst that only Jesus can satisfy, how belief in Christ can quench that thirst, what Jesus meant when He invited all who are thirsty to come to Him, and what He promises will happen to those who believe in Him and whose hearts are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
