The Domino Effect預覽
We all have dealt with jealousy at least one time in our life. Maybe it was when you were playing on a sports team, and you were not the best player. You were jealous of the team captain. Maybe you have been jealous of your friend’s lifestyle, the money they have, the house they live in, or the cars they drive. And maybe… just maybe… you have thought for just a millisecond, “It would be kind of nice, if they lost all of that, if they had a season ending in injury, if they suddenly didn’t have the best skills or the best stuff.” Harsh, I know. But have you ever had those quick thoughts run through your mind about someone else?
Let’s look at it at a different level. What about your faith? Other Christians? Have you ever been jealous about someone else’s relationship with Jesus? Maybe they know more scripture than you. Maybe they show up on time every Sunday for worship. Maybe they seem to just have this unshakable faith. Do you ever get jealous and want to swap your life for theirs? Or maybe you just think life is too easy for them, and once they hit some adversity like you have, their relationship with Jesus will change. Paul had this type of rock star faith, and people started to get jealous about it. People conspired against him and his people and tried to get in the way of what God was doing in their lives and the mission he had called them to. Jealousy will disrupt the domino effect Jesus has constructed in Christians around you.
