After His Heart預覽
Worshippers
David, the one who had defeated the giant, was now on the run. He was hiding from Saul In the desert, wandering around enemy territory and getting together with outcasts. The future king played the fool and depended on favors to survive. The desert was David’s home quite a few times throughout his story, and we can say that sometimes we find ourselves in deserts as well. Life takes us to a dry place where it seems as we don’t know where to go, we want to escape our problems and a lot of times we are alone and worried about what’s to come. It’s the moment that we battle ourselves so we won’t loose faith. We get vulnerable before God.
David’s soul might’ve been hurt, tired and anguished, but he always knew how to find refuge in the right place. Even though he was running and didn’t know about the future, he knew he wasn’t alone. Even when fighting his anguish, he knew he could rest under God’s wings.
This was David. He would let his soul sing, smile, scream and cry before God. He wasn’t ashamed of asking for mercy, he didn’t loose faith in victory and not for a second did he stop loving God.
David decided to worship in the middle of the desert and to secure his heart in the one who was his rescuer.
