Solomon showed something of God

“Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and set you on the throne of Israel! Because the Lord loved Israel forever, He has made you king, that you may execute justice and righteousness.” (1 Kings 10:9)

Solomon had become famous. People came from various countries to hear his wisdom (see 1 Kings 4:29-34). Even the queen of Sheba came “to test him with hard questions,” and she was not disappointed. She was deeply impressed by Solomon's wisdom and wealth. These far exceeded her expectations. But her visit became much more than a diplomatic meeting full of pomp and splendor. The queen told King Solomon “all that was on her mind.” And apparently as well as showing her how wise and prosperous he was, Solomon also shared something of his spiritual wealth with her. For when the queen of Sheba departed again for her own country, she was especially impressed by “the LORD your God.” She spoke of His good pleasure and His everlasting love, of righteousness and justice. From this it was clear that she had come to know the character of the Lord God. Apparently Solomon had communicated that with his words or actions.

Do you feel blessed because the Eternal One of Israel wants to be your God, too? When people meet you, do they “see” something of God in you?
