Day 5: The True Christian

The True Christian lives a Christ-centered life. They are surrendered to the will of God for their lives and not their own will. They do not sit on the throne of their hearts but humbly bow before it as the King of kings sits and rules there.

They do not figure things out on their own but seek God’s plan for every decision and plan that they make. They know that His ways and thoughts are higher and more wise than theirs could ever be.

The True Christian recognizes that they have been grafted into the bloodline of Jesus by their faith alone. From this place of surrender comes their power to prosper, access to peace, and their ability to please God.

This is not a place that is attained or maintained by fleshly works. It is a place that requires you to walk in the Spirit!

The True Christian knows that when you have Jesus, you have it all!

If you will surrender to God, step into the spiritual dimension, and ask Jesus to take you by the hand, He will teach you how to walk by the Spirit. There is no need to figure things out on your own or to operate in your own strength to complete anything you are called to.

Just as an heir to a great king has peace in his position and knowledge of his authority, so is The True Christian who walks boldly as an heir to Christ!

You have made it to the final day of this reading plan! I pray that it was transformative and encouraging to your walk with Christ.

Even though this plan is ending, your journey is continuing! I challenge you to grab a sticky note or some paper and list out 3 major truths or scriptures that you have taken away from this plan. Post these notes on your wall or somewhere that you frequent often and commit these truths to memory.

Rehearse them and allow them to encourage you as you are pursuing Christ. Don't allow this to be just another plan that you completed, but let the identity of The True Christian truly take root in your heart.

Say goodbye to your days of living beneath who you were created to be! You are an heir to the one true and living God! Go forth!
