The Trinity: An Inherently Relational God预览
On the most basic level, the Complexity and Beauty of the Trinity should woo us into a never-ending state of awe and contemplation. We should spend time thinking through this Incredible Relationship and what exactly it means to our lives. The first step to really experiencing the Trinity is to contemplate the Trinity, and hopefully, this study has been a helpful starting place.
The God that we worship is inherently Relational, and we are created in His Image. Thus, we have a lot to learn from the Trinity (not only about God, because to know the Trinity is to know God), but also about ourselves. For example:
- We are created for relationships.
- We are called to unity (which is not the same as sameness).
- It is only in the context of relationships that we grow, mature, and express our God-given gifts.
- God’s Unconditional Love for us calls us to Unconditionally Love others. Therefore, we are called to the Ministry of Reconciliation.
- Each person of the Trinity’s submission to and interaction with its other Members teaches us valuable lessons about the importance of living lives of Hospitality.
- The Trinity inspires us to live lives of Prayer and Worship: central keys to our relationship with God and others.
To finish up today’s study, and this series, spend some time thinking through or journaling answers to the following questions:
What have you learned about God over the past nine days?
Summarize in your own words what the Trinity reveals to us about relationships.
What does the Trinity teach us about Community?
Why is Reconciliation central to the Christian life?
What does the Trinity teach us about Hospitality, and how is God calling you to be hospitable in this season?
Spend some time with God in worship and prayer. Thank Him for who He is, worship Him for His Beautiful Mysteriousness, and invite Him to reveal Himself to you in fullness.
Did this plan encourage you? We’d love to get to know you better!
