The Gratitude Challenge

5天中的第5天

Together we’ve arrived at our last day of this gratitude study. Everything God created is good. And that means every blessing we have from Him is also good. I don’t know about you, but I’m sure grateful for that.

Interestingly, we sometimes think that the more good things we have in life, the more grateful we will be. But that’s not always the case. There’s a curious relationship between gratitude and great suffering. Often, the people who grieve are those who become most grateful.

When we recognize that everything we have is a gift and that every gift is on loan, our perspective shifts. There’s nothing on earth that we get to keep forever.

One day, everything will be returned. And until that day, let’s be grateful that we get to enjoy what we have together in this moment.

Today, once you watch the closing video, our final invitation is simple: we pause and thank God.

Thank Him that you have shoes on your feet, clothes on your back, and food on your table. That you’re blessed with community. Thank Him that you can’t and He can.

Very often, we ask for strength… but even where strength fails, there is perseverance. And even where perseverance fails, there is hope. And even where hope fails, there is love.

And love never fails.

We have a lot to be grateful for.
