7 Days Of Hope, Part 2预览
Wait on the Lord
Waiting on the Lord isn’t a passive kind of waiting. The waiting mentioned in Isaiah refers to an active waiting with hope and expectation that God is going to meet our needs.
As children of God, we should have enough confidence in our Father’s character and goodness to believe that He will provide for us. When we wait upon Him, our strength will be renewed. Isaiah uses a word picture to better communicate this idea. He says we will mount up on wings like eagles.
Often we go through life fluttering our wings trying to complete our to-do lists or be everything our families need us to be or merely to keep our heads above water. And the effort is exhausting.
My husband, Chris, and I have learned that if we choose to trust in the Lord, He will renew our strength. And He will help us soar—above our weariness, above the storm clouds circling around us, even above our fears of the unknown.
Jesus said He has overcome the world. When we’re weary, our God will renew our strength, and He will see us through every storm.
What difficult circumstances has God walked through with you?
