Tell others about Jesus – Sharing the gift

Imagine you are on a vacation at a nice ocean resort. On a nice sunny afternoon, you notice someone hopelessly drowning in the water… No matter how much this person struggles to overcome the fierce waves, tragedy seems inevitable. You catch your breath watching the terrible scene and all of the sudden you realize that there is a life-saver right by your side.

All you need to do is take it with your hands and throw it in the water to save that dying person! If this were a true story, wouldn’t you immediately jump out of your comfort zone and do everything in your reach to save that person? I believe you would.

The Bible tells us that mankind is drowning in an ocean of hopelessness and separation from God because of sin. Everyone is tossed back and forth by the waves of life circumstances and no matter how much they try, they cannot save themselves. The good news is you can catch your breath and do something about it!

You can help rescue them with the life-saving Gospel message. You can help people receive forgiveness and eternal life by telling them about Jesus.

God has a wonderful plan to save and bless mankind. He sent Jesus to die in our place at the cross and raise Him from the dead by the power of His Holy Spirit. When you gave your life to Jesus, you became a born again disciple of Christ, a child of God, forgiven of your sins, filled with His love and so much more. One of the astonishing blessings of salvation is the privilege to become coworkers with God to share His Gospel with the entire world!

Right now, there are billions in the world who desperately need to hear the salvation message and you are called to share Jesus with them. They are in the nations far off, but also in your office, school and city. They shop in the same stores you do and work out at the same gym.

They are your neighbors, your friends and your family members. Who could you reach with Jesus’ love today?

A simple way to share Jesus is by starting conversations on spiritual matters. You can use questions like “Do you believe in Heaven?” or “What do you think will happen after death?” or even “What do you think about Jesus?”.

These conversations will give you the opportunity to tell others about salvation. The first lesson in this study has an easy-to-understand presentation of the Gospel. Learn it and tell your friends. You can also tell your story and share how you found peace, joy and hope in Christ. Share about the things that were transformed when you gave your life to Jesus.

After you share about the Gospel, encourage your friends to make a decision to follow Christ by inviting them to a prayer of commitment to Jesus. When you lead your friends to Christ, help them in their first steps using this Bible reading plan. If a friend doesn’t agree with your views or decides not to follow Jesus, don’t be offended and keep praying for a better opportunity.

We can help people find Jesus and have a life filled with meaning and purpose.

We are His Body, as His feet we go and as His mouth we proclaim His goodness. Now that you are a disciple of Jesus, go and tell the world about Him! Share about Jesus out where people are hurting and suffering.

Share the Gospel at your workplace, school and neighborhood. Share it at the marketplace and wherever God places you. One day, you will be in eternity and will have the joy of embracing the people you helped to get there!

Thank you for following this Bible reading plan. There is so much more to discover about Jesus and you have taken your first steps. The Christian life is an adventurous quest to learn more about God, ourselves and His purposes for mankind. Enjoy the journey!
