Respond with Grace

Grace should be our response in every situation. It is the key to learning how to respond and not react. It unlocks God’s divine favor over our life. When we stop and respond in grace, we invite God in and close the door to fear, anxiety, and confusion. My friend, press into His Grace today. Allow it to permeate every place in your heart. The place where doubt lies. The place where the weakness lies. The place where hopelessness lies. Friend, receive the Divine Grace of God that is sufficient for you in every situation.

When we care for our patients, we must understand they need Grace too. Many of them feel lost, forgotten, helpless, and discouraged. We must be willing to lay aside what we feel and see them through the eyes of the Father. A wise woman once told me, “If I am having a bad day, I never let my patients see that. They need my smile, joy, and encouragement.”

Sometimes the load we carry as a nurse is heavy. I want to remind you that God’s grace is abundantly available. In Matthew 11:30, Jesus said my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. This can only happen when we allow Christ to help us carry our burdens. We have been granted access to God’s grace to enable us to do His will.  The Lord is ready to pour out His grace and glory. His saving grace. His sufficient grace. His exceeding grace.  When we begin to care for our patients with this standard of Grace, we will see lives impacted.

Friend, I believe there is a special grace that God is releasing on nurses everywhere. A grace that will cause the power of God to rest upon you in a new and profound way. A grace that will cause people to notice you and ask, what must I do to be saved. A grace that will fill you with the power of God to walk out your divine purpose and assignment.

Friend, hear me today, your labor is not in vain. Today, I simply want to encourage you not to give up. Your patients need you. Your colleagues need you. Stay in the race! Finish your course! Don’t give up! Be not weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap a harvest if we faint not (Galatians 6:9)
