Speak Life: Choose Your Words Carefully by Treal Ravenel预览
Refuse To Allow Fear To Win!
God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The thing that you fear the most will probably never happen and if it does happen, God has promised that He will be with you through every step of the way. Satan’s job is to create and maintain a level of chronic fear in your life. He wants to remind you of your past failures and faults so that you feel inadequate and unworthy as a husband/wife. The devil wants to create simulations in your mind, so you go over the scenario repeatedly causing mental and emotional exhaustion. There are many people that are paralyzed by fear from the time they get up in the morning until night falls. Satan is a liar and there is no truth in him. When he tells you that your spouse does not love you, that is a lie. When he tells you to leave because the grass is greener on the other side, that is a lie. He wants to fill you with fear which will in turn cause you to react and make fear-based decisions. The best way to get over your fear is to confront it head on. One thing you can do with your spouse is work through a worst-case scenario fear exercise. Identify the worst thing that would happen to either of you if the thing you feared the most actually happened.
What you will find out is that two is better than one and whatever games the enemy is playing to try and divide you and your spouse, it will not work. You must speak the word of God over your marriage / spouse and refuse to give into false beliefs and ideologies about your marriage / spouse. You are no longer a slave to fear, trust God with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Fear lost its frequency in your life when you said yes to God and it can no longer remain or rule in your marriage.
Reflection: What fear do you need to confront head on and replace with God's love?
