Relentless

10天中的第8天

You are given a choice with how to use your treasure. If you choose to bury your treasure, you are choosing to take the easy way out. The third servant chose to bury his treasure and he had the least amount of stress; his money was safe, and he wouldn’t lose anything. This probably seemed like the best choice because it was easy, stress free, and seemingly fail-proof, but when the master returned the servant was rebuked and sent away for being lazy and wicked. When the servant chose this, he probably wasn’t thinking about the consequences. Instead he was only focused on what it meant for him in the moment.

What would it look like in your life if you were to bury the treasure? It might be refusing to tithe 10% because you were the one who earned the money, avoiding volunteering because you have better and more things to be doing, or joining in when someone gossips because you don’t want to be the odd man out.

Choosing to bury your treasure is not only destructive to yourself, but it is directly against your calling from God. It is easy, but we aren’t called to live easy, we are called to live relentlessly.

Reflect:

Have you buried your treasure? Why or how?

Are you willing to be relentless—to work and invest for God’s Kingdom?
