Having Therefore These Promises预览
White As Snow.
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Psalms 51:7 KJV
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for purge is, ‘chata'’ (H2398) which means, “To sin, miss, miss the way, go wrong, incur guilt, forfeit, purify from uncleanness.” David declared, in Psalms 51:7 NLT, “Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” Psalm 51 is David’s declaration after Nathan, the prophet, confronted him after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba.
David begins with “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.” Psalms 51:1 KJV. David asks God for mercy. David surrenders to God and asks Him to purge away his sin. When you repent and turn to God, you’re asking God to completely wash your sins away.
His blood can remove the stain of your past — no matter how dark it may be — there is mercy available for you. Jesus declares, in Luke 5:31-32 KJV, “They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” The cross was for you. His Blood washes you. Choose to surrender to Him and allow God to make you clean. “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalms 103:12 KJV
Psalms 51:10 KJV declares, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Let God create a clean heart in you. Let God lead your character. Let God guide your actions. Let God lead your path. Let His Word purge you. Let His Word purify you and you’ll be whiter than snow. Take hold of His promises and you will be made whole.
