Few things are more satisfying than a perfect fit. Whether we are easing into our favorite jeans, placing that final piece into a jigsaw puzzle, or snapping the proper top onto a container of left-overs, something deep inside of us feels settled when things fit right.

Spiritually speaking, we actually have the ability to stir this sense of satisfaction in our lives and in the lives of others. In this passage, the apostle Paul confirms that when we operate from the purpose that God has built us for—communing constantly and intimately with him—the transformation that takes place in our lives fits us perfectly for the world in which we live. If you are gifted in administration, then administrate today to the glory of God! In so doing, you will help others to grow.

If you are gifted in encouragement, then encourage today to the glory of God! In so doing, you will help others to grow.

If you are gifted in leadership, then lead today to the glory of God! In so doing, you will help others to grow.

Whatever your gifting, deploy it today, to the glory of God, so that the body of Christ can be healthy and growing, and filled to the brim with love.

question to ponder

How might manifesting your “special work” today empower someone else to grow?

The Stories We Tell: 28 Days Of Truth-Telling For The Soul

Based on the "The Stories We Tell: Real Women. Real Lives. Real Love" Church Edition.  This twenty-eight-day devotional experience has been created for you to, in effect, think more carefully about what you’re thinking—about who you are and why you’re here and the role God longs for you to play in impacting the world around you for good. Consider carving out ten or fifteen minutes each day for twenty-eight days, during your first waking hours, perhaps, or just before you close your day and head to bed.
