5 Keys to Organizational Transitions: Part I
At any given time, countless businesses are in transition. Some businesses are sold. Others have new leaders or new plans.
The book of Acts opens with a dramatic transition taking place. Jesus was captured, crucified, resurrected, and the disciples watched as Jesus, their leader, ascended to heaven. They were left alone, in a world whose major cultures were unwelcoming.
Yet, the disciples found a way to move forward. They continued the commission given to them by Jesus, and their dedication resulted in billions of Christians across all oceans and throughout all continents.
In this series, we’re going to identify five keys in how the disciples effectively made the transition. Thefirst key is corporate prayer. Acts 1:14 says, “All these were continually devoting themselves with one mind to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.”
If your organization is in a transition, prayer is crucial. Personally, each should dedicate time and energy to seeking God’s will. However, corporate prayer is one of the most powerful tools in the Christian faith, and prayer together was the first and last lines of defense in the early church. Corporate prayer is the first stepping stone in a successful transition.

- What makes prayer valuable? Why does the Lord ask this of us? How important of an issue would it have to be to move you towards asking your work team to pray collectively?
