The Thin Line Between Fear & Faithنمونہ
Day 3: The Rich Young Ruler
Today we’re going to look at a young man we meet briefly through his interaction with Jesus. We don’t know much about him, but what we are told is profound.
This young man came running up to Jesus and knelt down before Him to ask a question. He wanted to know what he needed to do to inherit eternal life. Although this young man was good and had been keeping all of the rules, he left the conversation very sad.
What Jesus told him took him right to that line of faith and fear. Jesus told him to sell all his possessions, give the money to the poor, then he would have treasures in heaven and to follow Him. The young man was sad because he was rich and had a lot of stuff.
Clearly for this man his line was his possessions. For many of us that line is the same. We don’t mind serving God, giving of our time, or trying to follow the rules; just don’t touch our stuff.
Are there material things in your life that are off limits to God? What if God asked you for what matter most to you, would you give it to Him or would you walk away sad?

In the midst of difficulty, how do we ensure our faith remains in God and no other source? This devotional covers how to remain in faith or return if we’ve left.
