Leadership & Prayer: The Superpower for Executivesنمونہ
Day 4: Prayer as It Relates to Your Family and Relationships
Key Scripture: Colossians 3:12-13 (NIV)
"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
Leaders, let's get personal for a minute. How’s life at the home base?
Picture this: Jon, a successful CEO.
He's a shark in the business world. But there's a glitch – Jon's so caught up in being a big shot that he forgets about the home front.
His marriage is falling apart, and his kids barely know him.
Then, it hits him – what’s it all for if his family’s in shambles?
So, Jon changes lanes.
He starts praying for his family and, more importantly, spending time with them.
Slowly but surely, the tide changes. Relationships are mended, and love is rekindled.
Let’s get this straight: if your family and relationships aren’t on your priority list, you need a reality check.
Your corner office and that swanky title won't keep you warm at night. But love, family, and genuine relationships will.
Include your family in your prayers. Ask God to make you the spouse, parent, or friend you need to be.
Because at the end of the day, that's what really counts.
Let me ask you this pointed question: “What does humility look like regarding your spouse and family?”
What does it profit a man or woman if they gain the whole world – yet lose their soul?
What is your spouse craving from you?
What would your kids love to do with you?
What if your prayer time actually reveals what you desire most?
The challenge for the day: Reflect on your prayer life as it relates to your spouse, kids, and loved ones. Rate it on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best).
Be honest with yourself and allow the Spirit to guide you toward what really matters.
