Seeing Is Achieving

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

Praise

Leah and I start every day off with prayer time. Some days are long, deeply emotional prayers as God moves us, and other mornings are quick words of praise and proclamations. We praise God no matter how bad we hurt or how strained our marriage may be.

Why? Because God is true to His word and no matter how horrible your life may have been in the past, you have always come out on the other side. Giving credit where credit is due will elevate your perspective on the good things in life.

Process

No matter how life looks, are you and your spouse sharing prayer time, setting a marriage vision, and building the infrastructure to make your vision become reality?

It might be a new home, kids, getting out of debt, or a different job, but what matters most, is being purposeful about the process of gaining God’s assured blessings.

I like the saying, “If you can see it, you can be it.” Seeing doesn’t mean having to actually lay eyes on something like spotting a bad guy through a sniper’s scope. Believing without seeing is called faith, and it’s the cornerstone to receiving the blessings you want to see.

Proclaim

We help each other “see it” by making a checklist and using that as a guide during our prayer time. Give it a try. Once you catch the vision, see how fast God helps your desires come into alignment with His provision. God will provide, but he’s not like an old uncle at Christmas doling out cash. It requires faith.

Vision and provision are spiritually linked so you can see God’s hand at work. Catch the vision!!

CALL TO ACTION:

Are you both praying together with the full expectancy of God’s blessing? Do you wonder if He hears you, or is going to answer your prayers?

Honestly, if you’re not praying in His will to know His will and do His will, then you’re spending time making a wish list. If you want a power-packed prayer list, begin to pursue God’s desires for your heart and then pray with expectancy.
