A Done Deal

The entire sacrificial system outlined by Moses pointed to the day when those temporary sacrifices would be replaced once for all. The daily animal deaths would finally end. No more dragging bull and goat carcasses around; no more temple butcher shop. When Jesus bowed his head with these words, the finish line was crossed; the task completed. The old imperfect system of solving the sin problem was replaced by a perfect new one.



Father God, today I’m so thankful for the finished work of Christ on Calvary. I’m conscious of the fact that it was my sins that nailed him there. Thank you for your grace, mercy and forgiveness – none of which I deserve. I bow my head in thanks today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
