Blessing of Guidance. Paul’s letter to the Colossians begins with a prayer of thanksgiving. That prayer reminds us all of the power of the gospel so we wont be seduced by evil. Paul prays that we all will live lives that are pleasing to God. It does not take deep knowledge or strict living to please God. We need to know the truth about what pleases God so we won’t be distracted by bad advice. The goal is to live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way.
