Divine Separation Will Bring Clarity Of The Call And Re-establish The Promises
It is incredible how strife can blind us to the call and vision that God has for our lives. As we saw yesterday Abraham was not willing to allow strife to remain in his life; he did not give it time to grow and fester under the guise of trying to help his family. Abraham saw the heart of Lot when he was given the opportunity to choose where he wanted to live. Abraham had a heart after God and wanted to follow the path that God had for him, but Lot's desire was distinctly different, and his choice showed that. We all know the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and the tragic end for that city pair. Just because we are related to someone doesn't always mean we share the same vision and values.
Interestingly enough once the divine separation took place and Abraham confronted the potential strife in his life; suddenly, God shows up to speak with Abraham and reiterate the promises made to him. The cluttering of Abraham space was blinding him from seeing the bigger picture. So often when we don't confront strife as Abraham did, all our time will be consumed with what the person is doing wrong, or how much of your stuff they are using, and a spirit of complaining develops.
When we get so consumed with strife, it will stifle the vision and keep us blind from all of God's blessings. We seem to live in a society that makes confrontation and separation a bad thing. But in the walk of the believer, it is so necessary to confront and separate from anything that would hinder the call of God in our lives. Believe it or not, your separation from a toxic relationship can put you in a position to even save that person. Please don't misunderstand me; I am not talking about separation in marriages because there is marital counseling that could be done to restore your marriage. I am speaking of relationships outside the bond of marriage.
Once we confront strife and separate from the toxic emotions, there will be the restoration of your vision and call. Perhaps you could not pray and effectively meditate due to strife and a lack of peace internally. Today I want you to know God desires to communicate his plan for your life again. Why not let the strife go today.
Food for Thought: What situations need I confront today? Am I able to focus on God's plan for my life or am I absorbed with toxic emotions?

When we hear the word “separation” immediately our thoughts go to a married couple going their separate ways. However, do you know that separation extends to family, friends, or anyone dear to you? Are you aware that “separation” can also be a God-thing? In this plan, we would explore the life of Abraham and how Divine Separation had to happen for him to fulfill the plans and purposes that God had in store for him.
