Living With Honor Örnek
The New Testament includes 20 letters to encourage the Church. They are personal letters (also called epistles) written by apostles to various Christian churches and individuals. The apostle Paul wrote 13 of them. Their general intent was to provide guidance for Christian living, to warn the Church about false teachings and to encourage Christians in tough times. The vital guidance given to those churches is timeless, and applies to our lives as well.
Day 01: Aim High
Pray
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive your Word. Amen.
Read
Romans 8
Reflect
We aim high because, once we belong to Christ, we are empowered with the Holy Spirit's strength. We are free from the bondage of darkness and the shackles of sin. Freedom means momentum, and we are free to soar as high as the Holy Spirit allows. On what should we keep our minds focused? When we go through hard times, what promise does Paul offer us (v.28)? Can God do anything about our problems? Can anything separate us from the love of Christ?
Respond
Lord, I want to aim high. I want to join you in your mission. Please show me the direction you want me to go. Amen.
