Act Like A Man: How A Man Can Live Out His FaithHalimbawa
As men, we love to talk about wives submitting to us but we forget the vital part - we need to lead our wives in a biblical way. And the biblical way to do that is to love them as Christ loved us.
How do we love as Christ loved us? UNCONDITIONALLY. This is the kind of love that we need to live out in our relationships.
I know that is one tough assignment thus we need to rely on God's grace to love our spouse. And it is possible, because we ourselves have experienced that kind of love. You see as we learn to love as Jesus loves, we start becoming better leaders. Your marriage if based on Christ's love is not based on how good your spouse performs but on how good God is to us.
She doesn't have to be someone to make you love her more. In fact, if you vow to love your wife as Christ loved the church, that means there is nothing she can do that will make you love her less.
If she gets fat, it's a non-issue.
If she gets sick, the love remains
If she gets hot-headed...we stick with her
If she gets all emotional, we cry with her.
Nothing, and I do mean nothing she does will make us love her less. We are committed. We are leaders. We are men who decided to love our wife as Christ loved the church.
