Esther, Born for Such a Time as ThisHalimbawa
We cannot change the past, but we can learn from it and commemorate our history. Through reading the book of Esther, we might come to understand why this so important. The Jews were saved from a life-threatening situation. What a relief that was! As we read, we see how the Lord God uses Esther and Mordecai to change Haman’s plans. Afterwards, Mordecai sends out a decree in the form of letters: the Jews are required to annually celebrate the days of Purim, when they received freedom and peace. None of them were allowed to forget these days.
By remembering the events of our past and celebrating the good things, we may realize how the Lord God guides our lives, even if we didn’t realize it at the time. That way, we get the chance to show our gratitude to Him. God gives us many reasons to celebrate, rejoice, and give thanks! So, don’t forget to regularly remember those moments when you felt God’s guidance and His blessing.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the holidays You have set to remind me of Your great and mighty deeds. Time and again I get to read in Your word of Your faithfulness and salvation. Lord God, when I am in distress, please be near and bring about salvation in Your time. Thank You for guiding and protecting my life. Lord, help me to keep remembering those moments when I clearly felt Your salvation and guidance. Teach me to live out of gratitude for Who You are. Amen.

In this plan, we will take you through the book of Esther. We can admire Esther's courage, but we should see the whole picture: Esther, too, needed to be reminded of Who rules and that her life is in His hand. We pray that Esther's story inspires you to see God's hand in your life. God has intentionally placed you where you are for such a time as this.
