Unleavened Bread Part 2 // The Bread of Life

In the same way that Jesus is the ultimate fulfilment of the Passover lamb, He is also the Bread of Life. As John 6:33 says, He is the bread of God sent from heaven to give life to the world. In the same way as He is the water which if you drink, you shall never be thirsty again (John 4:13-14), He is the Bread of Life which if we eat of, we will never be hungry. 

Jesus says whilst being tempted by Satan in the wilderness that man cannot live on physical bread alone, but is ultimately sustained by the Word of God. (Matthew 4:4) Jesus is our sustainer and our spiritual food, with Him we have eternal life. 

Prayer: 

Jesus, I thank You that You are my sustainer and the giver of life. You are the bread from heaven with which we will never hunger again. I ask that You sustain and bless me, my family and my church. In Jesus’ name, amen.
