WE LOVE WHAT GOD LOVES
The first and greatest commandment is something that most Christians are familiar with—Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Part of loving Him with all of our being requires the intimacy of relationship with Jesus. In order to love what He loves, we must know Him! When you think of your closest relationships, you feel the most cared for when those around you are intentional to learn, understand, and love the things you love. You feel loved! When growing in our relationship with God, we get to know His heart—what He loves and what He hates, and His mind—His plans and His ways. You will grow in deeper intimacy with Him when you love what He loves and hate what He hates!

Today, we are going to focus on learning to love one of the aspects of Creation that the Father loves and says is very good—those who bear His image and are made in His likeness. Children hold a special place in the heart of God. The Psalmist said “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3). Think about how children are a reward that He gives to His people! They are never an accident; they are not a nuisance. Our Father in heaven intentionally formed and knitted each one of us in our mothers’ wombs (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-18).

He knew us in the womb, and He knows us now, better than anyone else.
Look at the way Jesus spoke of children, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 19:14). “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones” (Luke 17:2).
When our culture tries to dismiss and vilify the sanctity and holiness of pregnancy and childbirth, we must know the Word of God. The Father shows us time and time again that He is a God who creates, values, and gives life!

Life is one thing God loves, and if we choose to love what He loves, then we will choose to protect, nurture, and honor LIFE and LIFE ABUNDANTLY! Grow in your love for God by loving what He loves—LIFE!

Prayer of Reformation:
Lord, I ask for you to reform any crooked ways within me. I seek Heaven’s blueprint and ask for Your heart and Your mind in all things. I pray, less of me, more of you! I want what you want. Show me what pleases you. If I perish, I perish, but I will make straight the way of the Lord. Lord, You are holy, make me holy! I pray for revival and reformation in my family, city, state, nation, and the world! Amen.
