You're Invitedตัวอย่าง
You’re invited to a new life.
In John 3, Jesus meets with Nicodemus one night and begins to explain to Him what it means to be saved. In John 3:16, the Greek word eternal is aiṓnios, which translates as “timeless.” As believers, we often see this word as a reference to the heaven we will experience after death.
However, aiṓnios speaks more about the quality of life, not the quantity. It speaks to a life of freedom, fulfillment, joy, and peace. Although throughout history, we have watched men try to “get into heaven” when the message of Jesus is that He came to bring heaven to us. In other words, Jesus is trying to convey to Nicodemus that when we put our trust in God, there is something better to experience than just eternal life.
There is something better to experience than just a one-way ticket to heaven. There is something better to experience here on earth as it will be in heaven. That something better can start today. Believe it or not, you can begin living that timeless life right now.
Every morning when we intentionally choose to trust in God, we are opening the doors to live an aiṓnios life, overflowing with all the good things that come with the presence of God.
Today, thank God for the opportunity to live eternal life here on earth for a few minutes. Ask him to open your heart to the freedom, joy, and peace that He offers us and bring a new perspective on what it means to have a new life in Him.
