Hold Fast

วันที่ 5 จาก 5

Faith is confidence that what God has spoken will come to pass.

The scriptures say it is the substance of the things we hope for and the evidence of things that we cannot see. It’s a powerful force, often referred to as the currency of the kingdom. We cannot function effectively in kingdom life without it.

The real question is this:

Will we stay the course?

Will we allow our faith to flourish under harsh conditions? Will we continue to put one foot in front of the other?

Will we come out stronger on the other side by God’s grace?

God is at work. He’s the master orchestrator and He’s adding and increasing in ways that you are not even aware of! Yield yourself to the process of maturing in Christ and developing endurance.

Like the bamboo tree, we can’t always see the growth taking place. Sometimes it takes a lot of diligence and endurance. Sometimes it requires us to keep doing what we’re doing before we are able to even catch a glimpse of life. We have to walk the path that God has set out before us even if it is dimly lit. Even if it is full of gravel and roots that trip us. We have to keep walking the path.

That is what it means to be faithful. To stay tied. To hold fast.

God uses these times to prepare our hearts for when we experience hard times. Then, eventually, we wake up and come to see that we have come out on the other side and are stronger because of it.

It takes dedication and discipline.

The Bible tells us that He has a plan for each and every one of us. The Bible does not, however, tell us that this plan won’t require us to walk down difficult roads.

Staying tied isn’t meant for calm seas.

It’s meant for the person who is on the fourth year of watering their bamboo tree, wondering if they should continue for another year.

Keep watering. Remain tied to Him when you see the dark clouds moving in.

He will never lead you astray.
