Is Your God Too Nice?ตัวอย่าง
Those who accomplish great things for God on this planet will be known in hell because they have a reputation in the underworld for being a threat to all of Satan’s interests. I would predict that the man or woman who accomplishes the greatest things for God and His kingdom will be unashamed of the Bible generally and the gospel particularly, devoid of bitterness, totally forgiving, full of the love of Christ, sexually pure, fearless in standing for righteousness, unafraid to die for what they believe, self-disciplined, valuing the opinion of God more than people’s applause, enjoying intimacy with the Holy Spirit, impervious to the love of money and material things, unable to be bought off or bribed, faithful in prayer, sacrificial and regular in the giving of their finances, gentle, continually prepared to move outside their comfort zone and, last but not least, known in hell.
It is my wish and sincere prayer that this devotional will drive us to our knees and move us to seek the face of the God of the Bible. We must get to know Him and love Him for being exactly as He is. We must stop wanting to change Him and be unashamed of Him wherever we go. Peter said that judgment must begin with the family of God (1 Pet. 4:17). If we cannot criticize ourselves, we are very insecure indeed. But I suspect the judgment that is needed is far more than self-criticism, but rather to come face to face with God’s own feelings regarding the church that bears His name. Is your God too nice?

This 3-Day reading plan will bring you back to the God of the Bible. Not the God we like or the way we wish He were, but the very God of the Bible—unembellished, unvarnished—as He really is.
