Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 3ตัวอย่าง
1451 BC God, to stress their importance, gives His festival rules for a third time. He also gives directions on justice, the priests’ share, kingship, refuge cities and promises of a new prophet.
Note Deuteronomy 16: For God to describe the festival rules three times indicates their great importance. Much in the New Testament cannot be understood without knowledge of the festivals. Many times the words ‘to fulfill Scripture’ or similar are added in the New Testament (Matthew 5:17; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4). The annual festival dates are important right through both testament ages; they determine the main events in Jesus’ first coming and will do the same for his second coming.
